The Rangers started the scoring when defenseman Dan Girardi scored on the power play 10:39 into the game.

The score stayed that way until the 3:48 mark of the second period when Krug scored.

Just under 10 minutes later Gregory Campbell scored what proved to be the game winner. Campbell added an empty netter at the end of the game to seal the deal and send the Bruins to their second Eastern Conference Finals in three seasons.

“Congratulations to Boston,” Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist said. “I think they played a great series. I just have to give it to them….They did so many things really well, you know, forecheck, power play, PK (penalty kill). Their a great team so I wish them the best.”

The Bruins will now take on the top-seeded Pittsburgh Penguins in the Conference finals.
