“Dancing with the Stars” Recap: Soap Star Ingo Rademacher Eliminated

ABC(LOS ANGELES) — General Hospital star Ingo Rademacher was eliminated from ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Tuesday, just one week shy of the show’s Season 16 finale.
On Monday night’s performance show, Rademacher and partner Kym Johnson’s Charleston earned the duo their highest judges’ score of the season, but three other dance teams earned perfect scores, and Rademacher ended up at the bottom of the leader board.
After his elimination was announced, Rademacher hugged Johnson and told co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet that being on the show had been an amazing experience.
“I thought I was going to be done after, like, two weeks…but Kym has choreographed the most amazing routines and she catered them towards my two left feet and it got us this far, so I’ve really got to say, it’s been an amazing experience,” he said.
Each week, the couple with the lowest overall combination of judges’ scores and viewers’ votes is eliminated.
Tuesday’s results show was the 300th episode of Dancing with the Stars. To celebrate the milestone, the show opened with a special dance number that featured 22 pro and returning favorites, including Chelsie Hightower, Louis Van Amstel and Anna Trebunskaya.
The results show also featured live musical performances by The Wanted and singer Avril Lavigne.
Disney star Zendaya, country music singer Kellie Pickler, NFL star Jacoby Jones and Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman will compete in the Dancing with the Stars Season 16 two-night finale, beginning Monday at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
