David Kahn Out As T-Wolves President
Published at(MINNEAPOLIS) — Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor has decided not to pick up the option on David Kahn’s contract, ending his four-year tenure as president of basketball operations.
“We want to thank David for all of his efforts the past four years with our basketball team,” Taylor said in a statement. “These are always difficult decisions, but at this time, we believe it is in the best interest of our organization to make a change.”
During Kahn’s reign as president, the T-Wolves drafted guard Ricky Rubio and hired coach Rick Adelman. But they missed the playoffs in all four of his seasons, compiling a record of 89-223.
The Timberwolves will reportedly replace Kahn with former longtime head coach Flip Saunders, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
