Dickey Leads Blue Jays Past Rays, 7-5
Published at(TORONTO) — Blue Jays starter R.A. Dickey allowed just two earned runs over eight innings as Toronto took care of the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, 7-5.
With the game tied at three in the bottom of the seventh, Blue Jays first baseman Edwin Encarnacion broke the game wide open with a three-run double off of Rays reliever Josh Lueke.
The reigning National League Cy Young award winner picked up his second straight win and improved to 4-5 on the season after beginning the year 2-5. His ERA now stands at 4.50.
With the victory, the Blue Jays improve to 18-26 while the Rays fall to 23-21.
