Dodgers Place SS Hanley Ramirez On The 15-day Disabled List
Published at(SAN FRANCISCO) — The Los Angeles Dodgers placed shortstop Hanley Ramirez on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday due to a strained left hamstring. The three-time All-Star suffered the injury while running the bases during the sixth inning of Friday night’s loss to the San Francisco Giants.
The 29-year-old Ramirez began the year on the disabled list after he injured his thumb during the World Baseball Classic. He was activated this past Monday and went 5 for 11 with a home run and an RBI in four games.
To fill Ramirez’s spot on the roster, Los Angeles called up infielder Dee Gordon from Triple-A Albuquerque. In 25 games with the Isotopes, he batted .314 with 19 runs, 12 RBI and 14 stolen bases.
