(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – The Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, but not without some major current budget hurdles. Executive Director Russ Spain says the organization has to slash 5.7 percent of its budget for the current fiscal year due to significant federal spending cuts. Spain says he may have to start laying off employees if something isn’t done. He and other community organizers plan to continue to raise awareness about poverty problems in the area in an effort to help gather more funds
