(WASHINGTON) — Americans are seeing a reversal in gas prices after a week of declining figures. The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is up two cents in the past week to $3.54, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
The biggest jump, according to the weekly report, was seen in the Midwest, where prices rose five cents.
On the bright side, Americans are still paying less to fill up than they were this time last year. The national average is down 25 cents from the same week one year ago.
