Jabari Parker Signs with Duke

Kelly Kline/Getty Images(DURHAM, N.C.) -- Top basketball recruit Jabari Parker officially signed his letter of intent to play at Duke Thursday.

Parker has been one of the prized college basketball prospects for the past couple of years.

The 6-foot-8 Parker has led Simeon Academy to four straight state championships and graced the cover of Sports Illustrated as a high school junior.

Parker verbally chose to play for Duke last December during a televised ceremony in Chicago but couldn't sign with the school because the fall signing period had ended.

Parker recently was selected the co-MVP of the Jordan Brand Classic, a high school all-star game played at the Barclays Center. Parker had 16 points and seven rebounds in the game and shared MVP honors with Kentucky recruit Julius Randle.
