(NEW YORK) -- The NBA fined the Heat's LeBron James and the Pacers' David West and Lance Stephenson Thursday, for flopping during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Each of the players was fined $5,000 for the violation.
"We accept it," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "We don't want the attention and the focus to be on the officiating. We want it to be on the competition, which is a great series."
West and James were both fined for a play that occurred in the fourth quarter. West was wrestling for position when both simultaneously broke apart and spun like ballerinas, with James falling to the ground.
"I was trying to post up and he was trying to draw a foul," West said when describing the play. "It was a high contact play and the refs let the play go on. Maybe it was some gamesmanship."
Stephenson was fined for flopping on a play involving Ray Allen in the first quarter.
