Jefferson Superintendent Upset About Rejected Levy
Published at(RIGBY, ID) – Jefferson County School District Superintendent Ron Tolman says the district will likely have to cut programs in order to balance its budget. Earlier this week, voters overwhelmingly rejected a two-year $2 million supplemental levy, which would’ve maintained services as they are. Tolman tells KIDK that he’s now considering eliminating elementary school librarians, reducing custodial services, boosting class sizes, and cutting programs like Accelerated Reader.
