LB Dansby Signs with Cardinals
Published atDansby, who was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the 33rd pick of the 2004 NFL Draft, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Cardinals.
Dansby left Arizona after the 2009 season and signed with the Miami Dolphins. Last season Dansby had a career-high 134 tackles but was released after the season.
The 31-year-old Dansby said he talked too many teams about signing, but ultimately Arizona was the right place for him.
“Team Dansby is here,” he said, “my nutritionist, my trainer is here, stretch people. It was a no-brainer for me, I was just waiting on the right time, the right situation. Once I got the call, it was ‘Let’s make something happen, this is where I want to be.’ ”
Dansby played six seasons for the Cardinals. During that time he compiled 444 tackles, 25.5 sacks and 10 interceptions while starting 82 games.
Dansby was also part of the the Cardinals team that played in Super Bowl XLIII.
