More Layoffs at INL

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – More layoffs have been announced at the Idaho National Laboratory. Contractors working through Battelle Energy Alliance’s safeguards and security division were notified last week that workers will be fired due to federal budget restraints. The move comes amid calls for the elimination of 300 Battelle jobs, which began earlier this year. Thus far, more than 220 have already left. Officials stress that the layoffs will not affect work at the site’s Advanced Test Reactor.
