No PTSD Comp. for Idaho Falls Man

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – A former Idaho Falls cook won’t be given worker’s compensation for psychological trauma suffered in a work-related accident in 2005. Thirty-six-year-old Matthew Mazzone tripped and fell into a deep fat fryer at Texas Roadhouse, severely burning his arm. Mazzone, who returned to work after months of treatment and therapy, claims he also suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the accident. The Idaho Supreme Court ruled that Mazzone’s personal injury claims were countered by substantial evidence.
