Roy Hibbert had 23 points and 12 rebounds, Lance Stephenson added 20 points and the Pacers trumped the Miami Heat 99-92 on Tuesday night to tie the Eastern Conference finals at two games a piece.

“We’re never going to give up. We’re relentless,” Hibbert said after another big game. “All those guys in there, they believe we can win. No matter what all the analysts or whoever says anything, they count us out, those guys in the locker room were ready to play and we went out and played our hearts out.”

The Pacers opened up the game on an 11-0 run and held off several Miami runs, including a fourth quarter run where the Heat took an 89-96 lead.  They had their chances, but the Pacers seemed to want it more.

LeBron James led the Heat with 24 points but fouled out in the fourth quarter for the first time all season.  His sixth and final foul came on an illegal screen in crunch time.

“It was a couple of fouls that I didn’t feel like were fouls, personal fouls on me, but that’s how the game goes sometimes,” James said.

Dwayne Wade tallied 16 points for the defending champs.

Game 5 will be played Thursday night in Miami, where the Heat must win or face elimination when Game 6 comes back to Indianapolis.
