Rangers Defeat Diamondbacks, 9-5 Behind Profar’s 3 Hits

Second baseman Jurickson Profar led the offensive attack for the Rangers with three hits, while first baseman Mitch Moreland and outfielder David Murphy provided the power with home runs. Every player in Texas’ lineup had at least one hit, while five players finished with two hits or more.

Rangers starting pitcher Justin Grimm (5-3) contained Arizona’s offense, allowing two earned runs on eight hits in six innings of work. 

Right-hander Brandon McCarthy struggled out of the gate for the Diamondbacks, giving up six earned runs on nine hits in 2 2-3 innings.

The Rangers improve to 33-20 on the season, while the Diamondbacks fall to 30-23.
