(NEW YORK) — The second-season finale of the ABC drama Scandal airs Thursday at 10 p.m. Eastern time. The series centers around the affair between U.S. President Fitzgerald “Fitz” Grant and Olivia Pope, the crisis manager played by Kerry Washington.
On last week’s episode, former vice president chief of staff Billy Chambers was revealed to be the mysterious White House mole, and the season is expected to end with a big cliffhanger.
Scott Foley, who plays Jake, tells ABC News Radio, “The way that the season ends, the story ends for Olivia and her relationships, not just with Fitz, but with Jake and with other members of the ensemble, it’s pretty spectacular.”
Foley says his status on the show for next season is up in the air.
He comments, “That’s a great question. And one that my wife would like to know as well. Because there’s a couple of things she’d like to buy.”
