It’s Williams’ 50th career Women’s Tennis Association championship.

“I don’t know how many more I can win,” Williams said of her milestone. “Who knows if I will ever win another title? I want to just live the moment and live the dream every chance I get.”

In the first set, Williams broke Sharapova’s serve twice to take an early, 4-0 lead en route to a 6-1 victory. In the second set, Sharpaova took a 3-2 lead, before Williams came storming back to win, 6-4.

Williams improves to 13-2 lifetime against Sharpaova, with both losses having occurred in 2004.
