(NEW YORK) — The Dow Jones Industrial Average on Wednesday held above 15,000, one day after closing above the landmark level for the first time. The blue chips index called it a session up 48.92 points, at 15,105.12.
The Nasdaq Composite added 16.64 points, closing at 3,413.27. The S&P 500 rose 6.72 points to 1,632.68.
Shares of Whole Foods Market (WFM) and video game maker Electronic Arts (EA) both climbed 10.12 percent and 17.11 percent, respectively. Whole Foods’s quarterly earnings beat expectations, while EA earnings forecasts for 2014 surpassed analyst expectations, according to the Wall Street Journal.
AOL’s profit was up, but earnings were short of what analysts had predicted.
