The website says cast member Darrell Sheets has been “frozen out of” approximately six episodes for the upcoming season that were not covered by his contract.  In addition, auctioneers Dan and Laura Dotson have a reduced role.

A source says, “It seems as if they are going after some of the higher-paid cast members.”  Furthermore, an insider is quoted as saying that Sheets and the Dotsons “could be replaced with cheaper talent.”

RadarOnline.com says the decisions were made “in the aftermath” of former star David Hester’s lawsuit filed last year against A&E, in which he claimed the show is rigged.

A rep for A&E tells TVGuide.com, “Not every cast member appears in every episode of the series, but there is no truth to the report that any other members have been dropped.”

Storage Wars follows teams of bidders who specialize in storage auctions.
