Teens Arrested in LDS Church Fire

(MAGNA, UT) – Three Utah teens are facing felony arson charges for setting an LDS church building on fire in a Salt Lake City suburb. The teens reportedly lit a pile of hymnals on fire in the chapel, causing about $500,000 in damages. Crews from Magna were able to put out the blaze in about a half hour. Prosecutors say further charges are pending an investigation.
