Weekly Jobless Claims Jump to 360,000
Published at | Updated at(WASHINGTON) — After falling to a five-year low in the beginning of the month, jobless claims have shot back up, the Labor Department reported Thursday morning.
For the week ending May 11, the number of people filing for benefits increased by 32,000 to 360,000. The previous week, claims stood at 328,000.
The four-week average also went up, climbing by 1,250 to 339,250.
