The spokesperson, Michael Kobold, further stated that “nothing else was found” in Gandolfini’s system.  The Emmy-winning actor died Wednesday in Rome.  He was 51.  Kobold said that Gandolfini had traveled to Rome on vacation, and had had a “wonderful day,” visiting the Vatican and having dinner at his hotel with his son Michael before his death.  He added that the funeral is expected to take place in New York late next week.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Gandolfini’s Rome hotel says that a report in the New York Post claiming to reveal what Gandolfini ate for his last meal is not true.  That report said that the actor consumed two orders of fried prawns, foie gras, and several alcoholic beverages.

Gandolfini is survived by his wife, Deborah Lin, their eight-month-old daughter Liliana, and Michael, his son from a previous marriage.
