Chicago now leads the series 2-0.

The Hawks got book end scores from Andrew Shaw (1:56 mark) and Brent Seabrook (19:09) in the first period, to give Chicago the early lead 2-0 lead.

In the second period it was more Hawks with Bryan Bickell and Michal Handzus scoring on consecutive shots, giving the Blackhawks a 4-0 lead. Handzus’ goal ended up spelling the end of Kings goalie Jonathan Quick’s night.

Jeff Carter and Tyler Toffoli were able to put the puck in the net for Los Angeles to make the score respectable, but in the end it was Chicago winning for the second straight night on its home ice. But just because Chicago’s up 2-0 in the series, Blackhawks center Andrew Shaw knows it’s no reason to celebrate.

“They’re a great team,” Shaw said to the NHL Network. “They come in our building and they play physical. We’ve got to take this momentum that we’ve got from these first two games to the next two away games because, you know, they’re perfect at home right now in the playoffs.”

Game 3 is Tuesday night in Los Angeles. The puck is set to drop at 9:00 p.m Eastern.
