(ATLANTA) -- The Atlanta Braves traded third baseman Juan Francisco to the Milwaukee Brewers for minor-league left-handed pitcher Thomas Keeling on Monday.
The 25-year-old Francisco was hitting .241 with five home runs and 16 RBIs in 35 games before being designated for assignment last Thursday. He is expected to report to the Brewers Tuesday.

The Brewers also called up second baseman Scooter Gennett from Triple-A Nashville while optioning pitcher Michael Fiers to Nashville.
