As it turns out, the Brewers have no idea when Hart will be able to return to the lineup.

“Our timetable was off so we’re taking it day by day. They definitely overshot and it gave me optimism and hope. At the same time, it wasn’t realistic,” Hart told Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

“So, I’m just trying to grind it out and see what happens. It’s definitely gotten better, but their timetable just never happened. They would say one thing and it never happened. I can do everything; I just can’t do everything as good as I need to. I don’t have the strength in it I need,” he continued.

Back in January, Hart had knee surgery and the hope was that he’d return in May. But multiple set-backs have Hart’s status in limbo.

When healhty, Hart is an All-Star caliber player. Last season, Hart batted .270 with 30 home runs and 83 RBIs.
