Bruins Pound Penguins 6-1 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals

Brad Marchand scored 28 seconds into the game and the Bruins would score three more times in the opening period as Boston pounded the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-1, in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals Monday.

The Bruins now lead the series 2-0.

The B’s chased Pittsburgh starting goalie Tomas Vokoun 16:31 into the first period after he let gave up David Krejci’s eighth goal of the postseason to make the score 3-0.

Marc-Andre Fluery took Vokoun’s place and didn’t fare much better, allowing three goals, including Marchand’s second goal of the game with just nine seconds remaining in the first.

Tuukka Rask had another strong game in net for the Bruins stopping 26 shots in the win.

The series now shifts to Boston for Game 3 on Wednesday night. The puck is set to drop at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
