Clippers Shift Attention to Byron Scott
Published at(NEW YORK) — The Los Angeles Clippers maybe growing closer to hiring a new head coach. The Clippers talks with Byron Scott have intensified, according to league sources, reports ESPN NBA insider Chris Broussard.
Los Angeles and the Boston Celtics were in talks about bringing Doc Rivers to the Staples Center, but both sides were unable to come to a deal that the league would approve.
Former Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins and Pacers assistant Brian Shaw also on the radar for the Clippers coaching vacancy.
The Celtics and Clippers may revisit talks one more time about Rivers, according to ESPN.com.
Boston has scheduled a news conference on Monday to discuss the future of Rivers.
