(LOS ANGELES) — Have Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finally named their child? TMZ, citing the birth certificate, says the couple has named their newborn daughter North West.
People and Us Weekly report they have confirmed the name, with the latter’s source saying, “They will call her Nori for short.” The Us Weekly source says the little girl has no middle name.
Us Weekly previously denied rumors that the child’s name is Kaidence Donda West.
“They’re not quite ready to announce the name yet,” a source told the magazine. “But the name definitely does not start with a K, despite all the rumors that have been out.”
Rumors started swirling earlier this week that the couple’s first child was named Kaidence — in tune with a seeming Kardashian tradition where most names start with K — and Donda, a nod to West’s mother, who passed away in 2007.
Kardashian gave birth to the baby girl ahead of schedule on June 15 at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
