(REXBURG, ID) – Gov. Butch Otter was in Rexburg Friday as part of his “Capital for a Day” project. The event gave citizens a chance to mix and mingle with the governor and his staff, and to talk about various issues. The primary concern, however, dealt with security in public schools. Some were concerned about arming teachers, an perspective Otter says he doesn’t support. He says a state taskforce is currently exploring options to help make Idaho’s schools safer.
