Hanley Ramirez Activated from DL
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez was activated from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday.
Ramirez has been out since May 3 after suffering a strained left hamstring in San Francisco. Ramirez also missed the first 24 games of the season after tearing a thumb ligament in the finals of the World Baseball Classic in March.
The 29-year-old former All-Star went 0-for-3 with an RBI in his return to lineup Tuesday night, in a Dodgers 9-7 win over the San Diego Padres.
To make room for Ramirez, the Dodgers placed left-handed pitcher Chris Capuano on the 15-day disabled list with a left shoulder latissimus strain. That move is retroactive to May 30.
