Miranda Cosgrove Sues After Bus Crash Leaves Her ‘Disfigured’

Jason Merritt/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — iCarly actress Miranda Cosgrove was involved in a tour bus crash a couple of years ago, and now, according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ.com, she’s claiming the accident left her “disfigured and disabled.”
Cosgrove, who’s also a pop singer, was in the midst of her “Dancing Crazy Summer Tour” when the accident happened. She was reportedly traveling on a tour bus in Illinois with five other people when it slammed into an overturned tractor-trailer lying across the highway. Miranda broke her ankle in the crash, forcing her to cancel the rest of the tour.
Now, TMZ has learned the 20-year-old and her mother, who was also on board, are suing the tour bus driver, the driver of the semi and the transportation companies involved, claiming the whole thing could’ve been prevented.
In the suit, the Cosgroves claim both drivers operated their vehicles in an unsafe manner and failed to keep a “safe and proper lookout.” They also allege the tour bus driver failed to hit the brakes on time. Each insist they were “disfigured and disabled” and “have lost their normal lives” as a result of the crash, but don’t give any specific details of their injuries.
They’re suing for unspecified damages and demanding more than $50,000 each.
The transportation companies have not commented on the lawsuit.
