(POCATELLO, ID) – Today marks the one-year anniversary of the Charlotte Fire. The fire, which began in the foothills south of Pocatello, destroyed dozens of homes and threatened hundreds of others. Survivor Efrain Velasquez, who lost his home, says that he’s been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support he’s received over the past year, which included visits from long-lost friends and clean up projects involving thousands of volunteers. The fire burned 66 homes and around 1,100 acres.
