Pocatello City Council Approves Anti-Discrimination Ordinance
Published at(POCATELLO, ID) – Pocatello has become the sixth city in the state to pass an anti-discrimination ordinance. Following a nearly six-hour meeting Thursday night, council members voted 4-2 to approve the measure, which bans discrimination regarding sexual orientation in matters of housing, employment, and public accommodations. Proponents say they’re happy with the move, while others claim the measure should’ve provided exemptions for small businesses.
