(MIAMI) — It looks like Ray Allen will return to the Miami Heat for another season.
The sharpshooter has exercised his $3.2 million option for next season, his agent Jim Tanner told ESPN.com.
Allen was a huge reason why the Heat were able to win its second consecutive championship, averaging 10.6 points and shooting 55 percent on 3-pointers in the NBA Finals.
He hit a buzzer-beater in Game 6 that forced overtime against the San Antonio Spurs, and it instantly became one of the biggest clutch shots in Finals history. The Heat went on to win in seven games.
The 37-year-old Allen played in 79 regular-season games for the Heat, averaging 10.9 points while shooting 42 percent from 3-point range.
