Streaking Blue Jays Win 10th-Straight Game
Published at(TORONTO) — Don’t look now American League, but the Toronto Blue Jays are streaking.
Jose Bautista hit a tiebreaking home run in the eighth inning and the Blue Jays topped the Baltimore Orioles 4-2 on Saturday for their 10th straight victory.
With the win, the Blue Jays are now 14-4 this month.
Darren Oliver (3-1) earned the win after pitching the eighth inning. Orioles catcher Taylor Teagarden tied the game at 2 by hitting a solo shot off Oliver. Bautista saved him with a two-run blast that but the team ahead for good.
The win streak is the team’s longest since they won 10 in a row back in 2008. The AL East currently has all five of its teams with records of .500 or better.
