Two Boston Parking Spots Fetch More than a Half Million Bucks

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(BOSTON) — As in many big cities, parking space is at a premium in Boston, but a recent real estate transaction drew a half million dollar underline on this fact.
According to the website Boston.Curbed.com, two parking spaces that had been seized by the Internal Revenue Service were put up for auction on Thursday, with a starting bid of $42,000.
When the hammer fell, the two parking spots outside of the residence sitting at 298 Commonwealth Avenue sold for more than $560,000.
