The free agent was released by the Packers last week after six seasons with the team.  He visited with the Vikings and the Kansas City Chiefs before ultimately deciding to sign with Minnesota.

Bishop missed all of last season because of a torn hamstring muscle, but is projected to start at linebacker for the Vikings if healthy.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bishop is not the only ex-Packer to sign with Minnesota.  He joins wide receiver Greg Jennings, who inked a five-year deal with the Vikings earlier in the offseason.

Since being drafted in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Packers, Bishop has accumulated 292 tackles, nine sacks, and eight forced fumbles in 69 games.
