( BOISE , ID ) – 860 members of the Idaho National Guard will start taking pay furloughs this week.  Officials say full-time employees will have one unpaid day off each week until the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30.  The cuts amount to an estimated 20 percent cut in take-home pay. The furloughs, which are impacting National Guard units across the country, are expected to save around $1.8 billion in defense spending nationwide
