The 33-year-old Pujols has been battling plantar fasciitis all season.  He re-injured his foot after singling in the ninth inning of a 6-4 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Friday night.

“It’s more sore than anything he’s dealt with all season,” Angels manager Mike Scioscia said before Saturday’s game.  “We’ll get some direction from the doctor and see where he is.”

Pujols is batting .258 with 17 home runs and 64 RBIs for a struggling Angels team this season.
