Amanda Bynes’ Parents File Court Papers Requesting Conservatorship
(LOS ANGELES) -- Amanda Bynes' parents are making an attempt to get their daughter's life back in order, in the wake of her hospitalization.
TMZ reports the actress' parents on Thursday filed court papers in California, requesting that a judge place her under a conservatorship. It's unclear which aspects of her life the parents seek to control. A hearing in the matter is scheduled for Friday.
You may remember that Britney Spears was placed under a conservatorship over five years ago following her meltdown, giving her father control of her finances.
Bynes was hospitalized on a psychiatric hold Monday night, after she allegedly started a fire in a California driveway. The 27-year-old actress is currently facing DUI, reckless endangerment and marijuana possession charges in unrelated cases.
