Cutler is entering the final year of his deal with the Bears, but isn’t focused on getting a new deal at this time.

“That stuff takes of itself,” Cutler said on The Waddle & Silvy Show on ESPN Chicago 1000. “As long as we’re winning football games and I’m playing well, hopefully they keep me around. If that doesn’t happen, we’ll see how it plays out. I’m not going to be distracted by it. I can’t worry about it. I’ve been in this league long enough. I’ve seen guys come and guys go. It will work out the way it’s supposed to work out.”

Prior to the 2009 season, the Bears traded two first-round picks and a third-round pick as well as Kyle Orton to the Denver Broncos for Cutler as well as a fifth-round pick in 2009.

Cutler has had his ups and downs with the team, but has posted some of the best statistics for a quarterback in Bears history in his four years in Chicago.

Despite Cutler’s success, the Bears have won just one playoff game since Cutler joined the team.
