Celebrity Chef Nigella Lawson’s Husband Files for Divorce

Dave M. Benett/Getty Images(LONDON) — Charles Saatchi, 70, husband of celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, 53, is filing for divorce. The development comes on the heels of headline-grabbing photographs that showed Saatchi with his hands around Lawson’s throat.
According to the Daily Mail, Saatchi says Lawson failed to defend him and his reputation after the images went viral and sparked a firestorm.
“I wish Nigella only the best for her future, and for her continuing global success. She remains the most wonderful woman in the world. I feel very fortunate to have had such a lovely wife for many years,” he said, according to the Mail.
