According to TMZ, the singer has until August 6 to be booked officially at the police station.  He also needs to have a mug shot taken since he was never arrested at the time of the incident.

In addition, the other charges he faced in the accident — driving without a valid license and without proof of insurance — were dismissed.

Brown is due back in court on August 15 in the hit-and-run case. He must also appear in court on August 16 for a separate probation violation hearing in the Rihanna assault case.  Chris recently had his probation revoked in that case as a result of the hit-and-run charge, but remains free on his own recognizance pending the upcoming hearing.  If the judge determines that he has violated his probation, he faces up to four years in prison.

Upon learning about his probation getting revoked last week, Brown vented his frustrations via Twitter, “I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run,” he wrote. “I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C’mon!!”
