Controversial Teacher Rehired

(DECLO, ID) – The Declo School District has allowed a controversial teacher to be rehired for the next school year. Officials say Summer Larsen, a 4th Grade teacher, allowed students to draw on the faces of classmates who didn’t meet their reading goals. Investigators say nine students had the choice to either forgo recess or have their faces marked. A total of six students chose the latter option, inciting outrage among parents. Larsen maintains that all class members, including the victims, agreed on the punishment prior to the incident
