Drunk Driver Crashes Into Cars at Phil Meador

(POCATELLO, ID) – A Pocatello man was arrested early Tuesday for aggravated driving under the influence, among other charges.

Police say 48-year-old Travis Smith crashed into several cars parked on display at the Phil Meador Ford dealership on Flandro Drive at around 1 a.m. A few hours earlier, Smith reportedly hit a vehicle at the Maverik station on East Alameda before fleeing the scene. Damages at Phil Meador alone are in excess of $150,000. Officials say it’s possible that Smith may have hit other cars around town as well, and that victims should contact detectives at 234-6100.
