(NEW YORK) — Philadelphia Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin suffered a torn right ACL during practice Saturday, which could end the 25-year-olds season.
Maclin fell to the ground and was carted off the field during a non-contact drill.
Maclin had 69 catches for 857 yards and seven touchdowns for the Eagles last season.
“It’s tough,” Eagles quarterback Michael Vick said when asked about losing Maclin. “But unfortunately when something like this happens other guys got to step up. It’s a part of the game, injuries are going to happen. They could happen to anybody.”
Maclin is entering the final season of his five-year rookie contract.
