Temperatures are expected to rise into the high 90s in major cities across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region.  Boston is forecast to hit 100; and Philadelphia, New York City and Washington, D.C., are all forecast to reach 98 degrees.

However, coupled with the high humidity, the temperatures there will feel like it’s near 110 to 115 degrees.

As of Friday morning, 22 states in the East were under heat warnings and advisories.

The heat wave, which has plagued much of the U.S. this week, is expected to subside on the Northeast Saturday night.  Meanwhile, cooler and less humid weather is already moving into parts of the Midwest.
