(NEW YORK) — Dwight Howard is headed to Texas.
According to sources of ESPN NBA Insider Chris Broussard, Howard has chosen to play for the Houston Rockets.
Howard was being courted by four other teams; the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors and the team Howard played for last season, the Los Angeles Lakers.
One by one each team confirmed they were out of the Howard sweepstakes until only the Rockets remained.
The 27-year-old Howard is a three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year and a seven-time All-Star.
The 6-foot-11, 265 pound Howard will be playing for his third team in three seasons.
