(LOS ANGELES) — Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson will no longer be competing in beauty pageants. The former Toddlers & Tiaras star has her own show now and is simply too busy to compete, according to her mother “Mama” June Shannon.
“Mama” June tells In Touch Weekly, “We’re done.”
She notes, “We haven’t done a pageant for a while, because we’re so busy with our show, TLC’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, and school and life in general.”
“Mama” June says her 7-year-old daughter “misses the stage,” but she’s confident Alana will remain connected to the world of beauty pageants.
She adds, “We still have all our pageant friends. We go along and cheer on our other pageant friends.”
“Mama” June explains, “Alana’s trying different things, but I don’t think she’s found that new niche yet that she wants to get into.”
