Idaho Falls Arts Council Selects New Director

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — The Idaho Falls Arts Council has chosen Brandi Newton, Interim Operations Manager, as the Executive Director. “Our community has been very generous with supporting first our Historical Colonial Theater and Willard Arts Center and now with ARTitorium on Broadway,’ says Newton. “I am honored and humbled to be asked to lead this organization into our very exciting future.”
Brandi Newton joined the Idaho Falls Arts Council as an accountant in 2010 and most recently served as ARTitorium on Broadway Project Manager and Interim Operations Manager. Newton grew up in Idaho Falls, graduated from the University of Idaho and returned home to eastern Idaho in 2007.
“Brandi knows our organization and community. To accompany her strong organizational development and community building skills, she has a passion for our mission,” said Tracy Hoart, IFAC Board of Directors Chair. “The search committee and board have full confidence that Brandi will continue moving IFAC forward in a positive direction as the Executive Director.”
The Idaho Falls Arts Council 2013-2014 Performance and Visual Season will be announced in August of 2013. The Snake River Roaring Youth Jam is scheduled for August 8, 9 & 10 and promises to be an exciting part of the Idaho Falls Arts Council Summer.
The Idaho Falls Arts Council is a private nonprofit organization which owns and operates: The Colonial Theater and the Willard Arts Center, which houses the Carr Gallery, Hall Community Gallery, WAC Artist Studios and the Willard Arts Center Professional Offices. In 2013, IFAC will begin construction on the ARTitorium on Broadway. The mission of the IFAC is: To educate our community and enrich its quality of life by promoting, advocating and presenting a broad spectrum of visual and performing arts in eastern Idaho.
